God bless sunday. i hate sundays. sundays make me feel sooo... urm... lepak? bleargh. anyway... yeah we had an og outing last friday. the initial plan was to go for lunch together. but apparently some of us couldnt make it so the outing got divided into two. some went for lunch. some went for dinner. some went for both. i went for dinner. i couldnt go for lunch. solat mahh... so we went to this splendid restaurant for dinner. it's called marche. which stands for market in french. it's at the basement of heeren. yeah i never knew it existed. see? ignorance is NOT a bliss. haha.

well, the place literally looks like a market. like the 1970s old english market you see on tv. like big crates filled with fruits and veggies that sorta view. and the place is huge. somewhat huge. like if it's a market you would go around looking for whatever food items you want to buy. but instead of purchasing raw items, you purchase cooked food. so there. cool eh? extremely appetizing cooked food. the stalls are like divided like in a market you have the fish stall, meat stall, veggie stall, fruit stall. here they have like pasta stall, salads stall, drinks stall, ice cream stall, bakery stall. it's so cool. and the interior is like superb. dark, cosy... romantic? yeah. haha. and they have life size bulls located here and there as part of the design. that i'm a little confused. cos i don't see the connection between bulls and market. do you? no. and one of the bulls was hang right above the bench we were sitting on. and it was painted in blue and red. prolly to resemble superman. i dunno. haha. unfortunately im not sure if it's halal or not. though they don't sell pork there, the slaughtering of the beefs and chickens might not have been done the Islamic way. well good thing i wasnt in the mood for anything meaty that day so i didnt have to think about trying to play safe because i was in fact longing for something leafy and greeny. the rest were recommending rosti, this potato thing. looks delicious. but i was tempted by the salads they have there. so i went for it. it was... God... totally tempting. like they have this salad buffet thing so you pay for the size of the plate you desire and pick any salad you like. but of course no refill. i ordered the large plate. hehe. greedy i know but i was hungry anyway. didnt eat the whole day. so i took a little bit of everything there. mushroom salad, potato salad, brinjal salad, apple salad what not. and topped the whole thing with thousand island dressing. i know it sounds disgusting but who cares. it really looked delicious. hehe. and the taste? i must say it was presto. very well done. especially the potato. it's like that potato thing clara recommended at pasta mania. they are prolly the same thing. but i was later disgusted by the mushroom and apple salads. they initially tasted good but after awhile they tasted horrible. but the rest was good. and i cant believe i was full halfway through the meal. but of course i wouldnt want to be wasting $9.20 worth of salads. expensive aye? but worth the interior and service and class lah. and i had orange lemonade that costs $2.80. so total spent for one dinner = $12. wonderful. well at least cheaper than our initial plan of eating at seoul garden! they were charging us $21.90 each. wtf. so there. one beautiful meal with beautiful people in a beautiful place. life can never get any better =)

and then we went for some ice cream at taka. i couldnt make myself eat anything else. i was full to the brim. one more thing through my throat and i would vomit. gross. oh and the salad has some hangover effect on me. bloody hell. hahha! no lah but i was somewhat okay.

you know what. after almost 2 weeks of school, i am now able to conclude that physics is more fun that chemistry. i found myself enjoying and getting a better grip of phy than chem. im practically lost in chem. like i have no idea what's going on with chem right now. maybe because we are still on the chapter on calculations, the chapter i hated most. i would not be bothered to try to attempt any question involving mole calculations in sec sch days. that's how much i deteste that section of chemistry. but come to think of it, the current physics chapter involves calculations too. but more practical form of calculations lah actually. involving relevant physics formulae we learnt in sec sch. it's scary though to know that people actually do better in chem than phy for A level and that the phy lecturer said the paper is getting more and more difficult while the chem lecturer said otherwise for chem paper. im deadly confused.

oh yeah ginelle! yooohooo! i got a friend who plays your kind of music! urm yeah idec plays emo too. cool eh? i must say emo songs are pretty cool. ginelle! you have anymore emo songs from claire's flower shop or recluse? oh and i still have not seen that green recluse tee you told me about.

blunt misconception: guys who carry tote bags are gays.
fact: the trend amongst guys carrying tote bags started in japan. well apparently that's where singaporeans get their latest trends from right. so yeah. it started in japan and people here started to follow. the trend was even featured in male fashion magazines. so obviously iy's not something exactly odd and actually guys who carry tote bags arent gays. they are more of what we call metrosexuals. most of them are involved in the fashion industry. and lemme say this, not all guys working in the fashion industry are gays. just like not all cooks are gays. right? so no one has the right to label guys in the fashion industry or guys carrying totes for that matter as gays. seriously you cant say all guy models are gays too right? well they are in the fashion industry too you know. this clearly shows the narrow mindedness of typical singaporeans. but again, who cares about what people think. as long as you feel good about it that's all that matters most.
