we watched hide and seek. it was awesome. it was chilly and psychologically disturbing. psychologically disturbing? whatever. i can't find the right words to describe it! haha. all i can say is having watched both hide and seek and constantine, i would go for hide and seek. one thing though, try to be patient. the momentum builds up gradually, slowly little by little. you will get bored prolly during the first half of the movie but you will like the ending. trust me. oops, shouldn't have said that. shrugs. just don't beat me up if the movie didn't turn out the way you have expected it to. lol.
then, of course, the shortcuts. short films in other words. was looking forward to it the whole week, but was utterly disappointed. compared the ones they had for this month and the ones we watched with mr guru last year, they are nothing. like i can still remember the one where there weren't any spoken words, just merely images, of this man who became a slave of time. it was so difficult for me to decipher the messages behind it, but i love it. nothing stood out this time round. okay i was kinda impressed by Hero. the kids in it acted a lot better than those in Funeral Photo. flacid actings. emotionless. i could have acted wayyyy better. really. sailesh could have done a better job too. sailesh is as a matter of fact good okay. still the storylines were pretty shallow, i swear i could tell the angmoh couple in front of me were stoning when everyone else were laughing at stupid stuff that weren't even suppose to be funny in the first place. how low could our standard of humour be? typical singaporeans. and the kids from cath high sitting behind us were bloody noisy. and this teenage couple sitting beside me was practically poking at each other, mengotek all throughout. goodness! they should make a rule for people who come to these kinda screenings: you better be a huge fan of films, theatre and arts and know how to behave in the bloody auditorium or you won't be allowed to go in. it's an auditorium, not a fucking cinema. ur watching shortfilms, not a movie. whatever it is, i can't wait for the coming months' ones. gonna rush and get those tics. substation should have loads of extras lah... less known mah. oh wait, here's the best thing: we got free food! lj and i were like dying of hunger and God answered us when these people from the SHM called us in to help finish up their leftovers from some function they had earlier. who cares if they are leftovers! they look good to me! sandwiches, cakes, agars and popiahs... glorious glorious food... free food! lemme rephrase that. free GOOD food! from some catering company... yum! i dunno how but for once tuna didn't taste as bad, in fact i had prolly 20 of those bite sized sandwiches. and the cakes, oh those cakes! chocolate roll cakes with heavenly prolly raspberry jam juiced in between the rolls... oh goodness... lj and shanadz were crazy over the popiahs, but i find them too oily. heh. and not a huge of agar anyway. 20 small triangular sandwiches and i was sooo freaking full, we didn't have to spend on lunch at all!
that safra place we went is so cool. i was expecting it to be like the one in yishun, but haha no it's not. but they still have a pool table though. a small pathetic one, but hey at least it's still something. 3 games, we won 2 of them! lol. and i'm responsible for one of it eh! yeah! i simply rawk. what can i say. *rolls eyes*...
i joined my OG mates for barbeque just now. i feel so bad for not being able to stay long. i came, drank 2 cups of root beer float, went around, stayed for like around 15 mins, and went off in a cab. fuck the grounding. i hate it when i'm grounded. like hello... im 16, turning 17, do i still have to get grounded? gimme a break man. yeah i wasn't thinking well when i wrote the previous entry. i shouldn't have said fuck the barbeque. i was just worried about having to reveal about my quitting school to them. if only i could stay, spend time and have fun with them. ah leong gave me a hug. i was touched by it. really. dee gave me this postcard thing. that was really thoughtful of her. idec knows yet said, "see you on monday". and i gave him a look. and he gave me a look back. yeah well no one's suppose to know i'm quitting right. he's trying his best to keep it as that. very impressive acting. lol. and now ivon knows about it too. isn't blogging just sooo cool? i'm being sarcastic. she said "see you on monday" too. and that was online. haha... oh well... sighh... i made my decision, i gotta move on. no turning back. anyway i wanted to upload the barbeque photos and introduce you all to my lovely schoolmates, but i look freaking ugly in them. so i shall just keep them for my own momento :) heh. thanks for the photos by the way ivon!
