it's been exactly a week since Rapture, yet i'm still missing it like it was only yesterday. at this hour last saturday, we were packing up and leaving Kallang Theatre after a magnificent 2 day performance which still leave me dumbfounded. life's been hectic this week as i tried to catch up on whatever i've missed on Rapture week. i've not been reading my friends' blogs so i've been missing out on all their comments for Rapture. so i took the opportunity of this much needed, much awaited, much deserved weekend to go around and take note of their comments. to emphasise that all your words didn't go unnoticed, i'm gonna list them down right here, right now :)

---------------

SARA - moosey danced well at Rapture yesterday night. great opening performance. i wished everyone wasnt too formally dressed tho. ahh yes. whut did ya expect sara? it's a function!! haaaha.

ARMAN - the three freaks of nature finally reunited last Saturday to witness a monumental moment in the history of our respective pathetic existance: Moosey Moose's dancing debut in SAJC's dancing event Rapture at the God-forbidden Kallang Theatre. *Gasps of Disbelief*..........Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" then started blasting at a high level concurrently with the spotlights hitting the dancers, and there he was, Moosey Moose....dancing! *Gasps of Disbelief*.........I would just like to end it (finally) on a good note; that good note being: Mooser can definitely shake his bonbon. Words do not do justice to his dancing capabilities. People who give a damn should catch him shaking that thinner ass of his one day :)

INSYIRAH - moose was awesome. im really proud of him. and im sure sara, idah and the rest would agree.

CLARA - hey u were GREAT u stupid dancing moose! hahaha...i really enjoyed myself at Rapture and u were really fantastic la. and u look real good now! *applause for u*!! hehe...we were always sitting up and trying to see which one was u and all. Eh...i came ALL THE WAY from JB to see u shake ur booty ok! better be greatful. hohohoh. keep up the great work and once again fantastic show u guys put up!

ATALIA - ohhh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness! ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness ohh my goodness! you were AWESOME during rapture!! dude! WHOA! u absolutely blew me away! yea really! i was like, there, sitting in awe..! looking at u go! lookin at you fly! with my mouth open man! ure right those steps are reali difficult but you pulled it off! u look good doing those steps! yea u made ms k faint. HAHAHHA.

NAS - went for rapture on friday night. wow. it was really entertaining. loud. colourful. worth my money. i enjoyed it! :) and musa did a good job. though he keeps saying he made mistakes. but he was so smooth and cool on stage. like a professional! yea! applauseformoose*

DAIWEI - OEI!!! Good job for Rapture man! You and the rest of the dancers...though you did look gayish at some parts hahahah! But seriously...good job haha!

JEREMY - mooose! .. haha .. good job at rapture ... u pulled it off ... it was a great performance ... and dun listen to dai wei .. u didnt look gay .. haha ...

HANIS - Rapture was alright. Musa was the cool dude as usual. Not being biased or anything, but I think he has presence on stage. I somehow notice him more than the other guys. Kudos to him, and all the other dancers as well.

---------------

i'm doing this not for my own benefit or for anyone's for that matter but to show these people that i really appreciate all their words, their compliments. Rapture means a lot to me becuase it was the first major event i've ever performed for. and it was great.

i would like to thank the people above for all their kind words. thank you for the SMSes as well, syirah, saidah, shirin, alina, jiemin, hanis. thank you to those who gave me the pretty flowers. special thanks to smita for being there on both days. i love you people loads (tell me if i missed out anyone).

the show would not have been a success without the other dancers. especially the senior dancers. i owe them a huge thank you for all their guidance and help. i was a little apprehensive when i first joined SA Dance. but thanks to them i feel that i belong here. they taught me what i've always dreamt of doing for years. there's still a lot more that needs to be learnt though. SA Dance Society is going to be so different without you lovely seniors. thanks to Zaki too, our beloved instructor. he made the world of dancing felt like heaven to us. the techniques that he taught us are so precious. his scoldings, his comments, his strive for perfection; priceless.

the flowers might have wilted (despite having provided sun and water...)

flowers2

but the gratitude in me is still strong. let this entry be like a propaganda, so tickets to RAPTURE@ESPLANADE next year can, in Zaki's words i quote, be gone in 20 minutes :)
