[8:09 PM]

they sit in their corner everyday in the hope of getting everything sold. only one more day of school left and there are still plenty of items left unsold. they begged us for help. they begged for our compassion and love.

they begged for the sake of the Pakistani quake victims.

and i take my hat off to them for their commendable effort in trying to raise money for the victims.

i'm just proud to see saints among us so caring and thoughtful.

but it's sad too to see the rest of us doing nothing to help them in their cause. only one more day of school left and there are still plenty of items left unsold.

i've made up my mind that tomorrow, i'm gonna spend 5 to 10 bucks on the garage sale. the items may not be very appealing but i feel it is my duty to contribute for the sake of the fellow Muslims there. it is really unfair for us to be crowding Geylang Serai in preparation for the coming Aidilfitri while the Pakistanis are sufferring and dying.

if i can spend up to $10 on food for myself, why can't i contribute the same amount that might be able to help fill 10 stomachs?

hence i have also come up with a new year resolution. from now on, whenever i'm approached for a donation, i shall dig deep into my pockets and wallet and give any amount regardless of my economic status (i'm still broke).

like the saying goes, every cent counts.

but there's more that we saints can do to help the quake victims. and i have a good plan in mind. the only problem here is i'm not sure if it would work and i'm extremely disappointed in myself for not proposing it any earlier though i had thought of it the minute our principal called on us to do our part.

and there's only one more day of school left. should i go ahead with the proposal? maybe i should. there's nothing to lose anyway. i've been asking people's opinion on it and they too think it's a good idea and they too think i should go ahead with it. and some have even agreed to be with me on it.

there's nothing to lose (other than time for dance, studies, PW and leisure...) so let's just go ahead with the proposal. let's talk to the principal tomorrow.

-------------------------

the CIP by the dance society is becoming to be more than just another performance in the name of volunteerism. with the idea of creating awareness of the importance of volunteerism among the public, the organiser and i have come up with various forms of performances that might attract people, though our primary intention is to pay gratitude to the already existing volunteering groups that have been with the organisation for quite some time already.

now i'm still looking for other talents that might do good. in the list, we need: a pianist, a singer and a choir.

calling out to all saints, 6 hours of CIP awaiting you. email me if you are interested or know of anyone who might be interested. if you have other talents that you would like to showcase, tell me about it as well.

thanks to the SAJC band for their enthusiasm :)

-------------------------

one more day of school. technically, albeit the last few components of PW and not to mention the dance practices and the move to SAV.

i have tons of things planned for the upcoming holiday (if you may still call it that) and none is in the name of leisure. i hope i will have enough time for studies. i need to keep it going because my promos results were really bad. thank God i got promoted. and i really mean thank God.
