[12:33 AM]

You know there is something seriously wrong about you when you see your (potential) lover as your immediate competition. How can I like you if I'm going to hate you for always being a few steps ahead of me? I'll tell you how. All you need to do is to let your guards down and let me in honey. I can't take away those that do not belong to me no matter how envious I am. So there really is nothing much for you to worry. Your competitiveness is killing our love.

Suddenly I'm reminded of the advice Tyra Banks used to give her girls: You'll always get doors shut in your face but don't ever let that deter you from pursuing your dreams. So I'll continue to work hard although I don't seem to be getting the opportunities I desperately need. I wish I could get a little help from you, but I'm not expecting much. This is not desperation, this is hunger, with a tinge of envy (that, of course, could possibly lead to hatred and a series of other dejectingly hideous outcomes).

And yes, life lessons from Ms Banks. FML right.
